About Us
What is WelliRecord?
WelliRecord™ is a digital health records platform built in Nigeria. We give every patient one secure record — their diagnoses, medications, allergies, and test results — accessible to any authorised provider, at any facility, with the patient's consent.
How We Started
We started with a family emergency. A doctor needed one crucial piece of information — an allergy — and it wasn't there. We almost lost someone because a record didn't follow the patient. That moment showed us what a record should do: be there when it matters most.
The foundation of WelliRecord
We believe every person has a health story worth remembering. Healthcare is not a collection of separate appointments, diagnoses, and lab results. It's a continuous record of a person's life, following them across places, providers, and circumstances.
Our approach rests on a few convictions: stewardship of what's entrusted to us, truth before decisions get made, and care that extends past a single moment of need.
A patient's health information shouldn't fragment because they changed providers, moved cities, or lost paper records. The patient should be able to carry their health story with them. Providers should be able to access what they're authorized to use, when it's needed for care. And every interaction with that information should respect the privacy and agency of the person behind the record.
